Looking for a trouble ticket tracking solution for your help desk? Microsoft offers a free call tracking database template for Access 2007 allows you to keep track of incoming calls to a help desk, business or other organization. It tracks details including call time, status, priority and category.

You can make it totally free by using Open Office Base. Download the Office 2003 version of the template from here: http://office.microsoft.com/templates/directdownload.aspx?AssetID=TC012186931033&Application=AC&Result=2&Version=11

Then import the database into Open Office Base following the instructions here: http://searchenterpriselinux.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid39_gci1236205,00.html

Now all you have to do is build the front-end in Base which is easy; the hard part is building the logic and tables.
