Retention Reports

Sunday July 8, 2007
In a recent forum posting, Adam wrote:

"I am looking to create a retention report in access for customers who have not renewed their yearly passes. Essentially this is organized by pass number and each year they are renewed it gets entered in the same table, creating multiple entries for the same people.

My task is to find the people who have not renewed their pass, and create a report.

What my challenge is, is to display only the people who have not renewed thie passes despite the fact that they too may have multiple entries from previous years. There is a field entitled pass type where all the renewals are labeled REN, and I have created a field to isolate for this data. Now I need to eliminate all of their previous pass purchases (as they will show up as non renewals and end up on my report unless excluded somehow).

I need to find a way to display just the old passes that have not been renewed from the mix of old passes that have been renewed and renewals."
