Queries Taking Too Long in Microsoft Access 2007

Sunday October 7, 2007
In a recent forum posting, Mark Nichol wrote:

"I have setup a Point of Sale (POS) system. It queries and calculates nine different totals and displays them on the form. I am using indexing but I do find that when I page from record to record the queries run each time for each record and the whole thing is taking WAY TOO LONG to move about. Any help to speed things up? Perhaps there is a way to turn "off" the queries and have the form only run the queries on command?"
