Modifying an Access Database Template

Tuesday January 6, 2009
In a recent forum message, Porta wrote:

"I want to make modifications to the Access 2007 Student database template. Specifically, I want to modify the form called 'student details'. This is a very sophisticated form with extensive programming. What is the best way for me to look behind the scenes so I can see the actual programming?

I looked under the 'database tool' tab and clicked 'database documenter'. There were 59 pages for this form. Is this the only documentation there is? I made some cosmetic changes to the form, and now the system aborts at times when I access the form. Having access to the code would be quite helpful to me in learning how to build some of the more advanced forms."

(1) Russell says:

You can change the view for the form to Layout which which will display the property sheet or change the view to Design and you can change the form there
