In a recent forum message, CARMENCHA asks:

"I am using Access 2007. I have defined a field as Yes/No and I need to have this field default to Yes (e.i. always displays as Yes). I have tried to set the default values to many different ways but the field keeps defaulting to "No".

Is there a way to do this?"

(1) Carrie :

In the “data type” column select: Yes/No
Select the “General” tab
In the “default value” field below enter: “1″
(Note: “0″ = no)

Or:

In the “data type” column select: Look Up Wizard
Choose: type in my own values
Enter “Yes” in one field
Enter “No” in another
Finish process.
Select the “General” tab
In the “default value” field enter: Yes
