This certification training guide from Sybex offers detailed, example-rich explanations of database design concepts in the context of SQL Server 2000. It also includes a large number of practice questions and a CD-ROM containing questions not included in the print book.
3. MCDBA SQL Server 2000 Database Design Study Guide
This book offers a great review of SQL Server 2000 database design topics, but is a little lacking in some of its explanations. This book will help you pass the test if you're already an experienced DBA but you're better off with one of the two books above if you're just getting started.4. MCSE Microsoft Sql Server 2000 Database Design Readiness Review
This study guide from Microsoft Press doesn't really hit the mark. It's too shallow to be a detailed reference for the exam and it's not clear enough to be a good reference for newbies. There are also several apparent mistakes in the practice test questions.5. MCSE Training Kit: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Database Design
This Microsoft Press publication also fails to find a real target audience. It's far too advanced for the new SQL Server designer and doesn't contain concrete information for the experienced developer seeking a reference book.
