Password

By Mike Chapple, About.com

Definition: A password is a series of characters or a short phrase used to protect access to a system or file. Security professionals generally recommend that passwords be at least eight characters long, not contain dictionary words, and consist of a mixture of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numerals and symbols. It’s also a good idea to change your password every 90 days.

Microsoft Access users can take advantage of built-in encryption features to password-protect their databases.
