Next, fill in any required values. For example, if you selected the Count function, you will see the text Count(<<expr>>) in the top window. You still need to add an expression informing Access of what you'd like to count.

Click once on the <<expr>> text to highlight it, as shown in the figure above. Then replace it with the missing value. For example, in our case, we would expand the Tables folder and select the table that contains the Apple attribute. We'd then walk through a process similar to that used in the previous step to select the Value of the Apple attribute.
